GO PADS!!!!

Anybody who knows Don knows that he is a DIE HARD Padre fan. As much as Kelly loves the Dodgers, I think Don loves the Padres even more. He has been a fan since way before I knew him and his passion for them has not changed. I remember when we first started dating (way before Tivo) and we would go on a date and come back to his house, he would be recording (on VHS) the baseball game!!! Not only that but he would tape a piece of paper to the upper right hand corner just in case he got home before the game wasn't over, he wanted to make sure he didn't see the score!!! I should've ran then (J/K) He has turned me into a fan also (although he was just upset because I told him I didn't think I would be able to stay awake until the end of the game because I was too tired), he wasn't too happy about that!!
He is on cloud 9 as I write this, not only because it is opening day but because he convinced Trevor to sit down with him for over an hour (bedtime???) and watch and cheer for the Padres. This is a picture of the two of them watching the game. I just wish he could talk TT into it also so I could have some relaxation time, maybe next year.

Happy Birthday Trevor (again)

Mallory enjoying her cupcake and Hannah licking the fake ice cream cone (her mom probably wouldn't let her have the real thing because of her Hannah Anderson dress.)

Abby bean and Nett
Our family before Trevor blew out his candles (the only time we were all together).

Christy and Melia (Christy fell in love with her because she went right up to her and wanted to be held).

Luca and Donovan drooling (and waiting patiently for some cake).

Angie and Aubrey

TT and mimi (sorry it is sideways but don't they both look beautiful?) TT does not look like a 20 month old.

We finally finished off Trevor's month long 3rd birthday, with a HUGE and I mean huge birthday bash. He wanted a Spiderman party and so we ordered the jumper, the taco people and invited all of our friends. I think we probably had 60 people here (including kids) and I think it was a success. Most importantly, Trevor had an absolute blast!!! He was in heaven from the moment he woke up from his nap until he went to bed, at 9:30 by the way. He was so much fun to watch this year because he understands so much more and shows his emotions in such a great way that it truly made the cost, headache and stress of having a party sooooo worth it. Thank you to all of our friends and family for all that you do, we are so blessed to have you in our life. Especially, thank you for all of the toys, you are more than welcome to come back and take whatever you want with you. Until the next party.........

Santa Barbara

Our trip was awesome. We got sooo lucky with the weather, it was like 75 degrees each day but felt more like 85 when we were sitting on our balcony facing the sun. Our room was right on the water and we really never even needed to leave it. We went out to eat a couple of times and also did a sunset sailboat cruise, which was so great. We were a little nervous about it after we saw the size of the boat but their ended up only being 3 other people so it was beautiful. It was nice to sleep in and take lots of naps and read and take a long shower and eat slowly and watch the news and just relax....all of the things you don't get to do much of with kids. Also, it was very bittersweet because we both missed the kids soo much. It really seemed as if Trevor grew 2 inches and talks so much more clearly in 48 hours. I'm trying to get into birthday party mode but just can't seem to get there. Trevy's party is 18 hours away and you really have no idea what still needs to be done. By the way, you saw my last post about Don having to take Trev to the doctor the day before we were leaving for an ear infection.....we got home today at 1:15, TT woke up at 1:40 and I had her at the doctor at 2:15 for another ear infection......of course!!! At least it was today and not tomorrow and definitely not yesterday!!!!

Of course.....

Don and I are leaving to go to Santa Barbara tomorrow for some much needed/deserved R & R. Wouldn't you know it that on Monday I had to take TT to Urgent Care (she ended up being perfectly fine) and then I get a call today while I am getting my hair done that Trevor won't stop crying because his ear hurts. I call the doctor from the salon and luckily they got him in right then. Don took him and he did have an ear infection. How is it that he never had one for 2 1/2 years of his life and now within the last 3 months he has had two??? After the amoxycilin kicked in he was a million times better this afternoon so I sure hope they will be ok for auntie. Although, there is no one who knows them better than their Auntie Kelly so I am sure they will be fine. I figure we will only be 2 hours away so if we need to come home we can (lets just hope we aren't on our sunset cruise or wine tasting!!)

Happy Easter!!!!

Trevor dressed in a bunny suit that was way too small.
TT loving her new sunglasses that she got in her basket.

Trevor finding Easter eggs. He absolutely loved finding them...I have a feeling we will be doing this for many weeks.

After lunch, my grandma took the kids out for a walk. Notice, Trevor is rocking out like a rock star and TT is trying to get out of grandma's hold.

Besides the fact that Don has been at work for the last 4 days, the kids and I had a fabulous Easter. We got up this morning right when Don got home from work and watched them open up their Easter baskets and Trevor hunt for eggs. Don made us chocolate chip pancakes for breakfast (can you believe the kids didn't like/want them????) and hung out for a little bit before he reached the point that he was cross eyed and had to sleep. I took the kids to church (their first time, how sad is that) along with my parents, grandma and sister. After church we went to Ruby's for lunch followed by home for a nap. This afternoon my family came over for a BBQ and it was so beautiful that the kids played in the pool for hours.
It was a beautiful day and a great start to Spring Break. Don and I are ACTUALLY going away for 2 days to Santa Barbara. We have had very few days off together in a long time so we decided to spend a couple nights by ourselves and get reacquainted. Can't wait, we have never been to Santa Barbara.

Full Moon

Oh my gosh!!! Did anybody else have kids that went absolutely crazy tonight???? Trevor just turned 3 on Monday and I swear he had the WORST breakdown tonight. It all started when I took him out of the bath because he wanted the water hot and kept turning on the hot water while Abby and TT were in with him. He literally screamed/hit/pushed/kicked for 20 minutes while he was in a timeout. It was the worst fit ever!!!! I was told that 3 is the magic year for behavior-not so far for Trevor. Don and I were emotionally spent afterward. I talked to Angie and she said Brady had a rough night also and that there was a full moon- I pray to God that was the problem and my son is not turning on me.

Daddy's basketball game.

Trevor and Daddy shooting the basketball at halftime.

Trevor and TT wishing daddy good luck before the game.

Don has been playing in an adult basketball league on Tuesdays (when his schedule permits) for many years. I used to go to the games all the time before kids, a few times after Trevor and very rarely after TT. He had a game at 6:00 tonight, which is a great time for the kids so we ventured out to watch daddy play. Anthony is also on the team so it helped to have Jeana and her kids there too. Trevor was in awe and loved every second of it. Don took him early so that he could stand on the court before the game and shoot with all of the "big kids". TT actually wasn't too bad either. She, of course, didn't want to sit still but overall she actually behaved herself. By the way, the game went into overtime and Don's team pulled the most amazing comeback with a (almost) half court, time expired basket to pull off the upset against the first place team (we must have been good luck!!)

Happy Birthday Trevy!!!!

Trevor getting ready to blow out his candles.
Trevor riding his new bike that he got from papa and mimi.

Trevor and TT on the monorail at Disneyland.

Trevor and daddy.

Trevor and TT getting ready to leave for Disneyland.

I cannot believe that I have a 3 year old. It seems like just yesterday that we were sitting in the hospital watching the first round of March Madness waiting for Trevor to be born. We had just finished his bedroom the night before and that is how we were going to let people know what we were going to name him (spelled on his wall). He is the most loving, kindest, smartest boy I know. He continues to amaze us every day and makes us laugh always. I thank God every single day that we were blessed to have such a wonderful son. I wish I was better with words so that I could say all the emotions going through my head but as long as he knows how much he is loved that is all that matters. Trevor, you are the best and I love you more than ever.
I decided to take the day off from work so we could do something fun for Trevor's birthday. We got up this morning and took the kids to Rainforest Cafe for breakfast at Downtown Disney. After breakfast we went to California Adventure and Disneyland. The kids had a blast although is was extremely crowded. They both fell asleep before we hit the freeway on the way home. Trevor decided that was all the nap he needed and TT slept for 4 hours. We ordered Mexican food for dinner and both grandmas, grandpa, cousin Lona, auntie Kelly and the Feolos/Mitzner came over for cake. Exhausting, but so wonderful. We are truly blessed.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY ETHAN!!! WE MISS YOU AND LOVE YOU AND TREVOR MISSED SHARING HIS BIRTHDAY WITH YOU.

Twinkle Twinkle

I think that I have finally mastered how to add video to this thing. WHy does it take so long to download??? Anyway these are two short videos of the kids singing Twinkle Twinkle Little Star with Anthony. Trevor was doing it first and guess who hopped up into the chair after because she wanted her turn???

Amen!!!

This is a video of Trev and TT singing in the car. I have the best video that I have ben trying to post all week of Trev, Jeana said if it under 30 sec it wotks better so here you go, my first video........

OOOHHHH the love!!!

Angie and Aubrey on Dumbo at Disneyland.

I just wanted to post a few pictures of Trevor hugging (or strangling) Taylor. They really do love each other and get more excited than anyone else when they see each other. He tends to be a little rough, which is probably why she is the toughest/craziest/wildest girl around!!!

Busy busy days

The last few days have been awesome because Don has been home so we have actually gotten to do some things as a family. We went to Disneyland on Wednesday and met the Allens'. The kids love going and so do we but it sure does make for a long day. A full day at work and then to hurry home and get everybody ready and head out. Trevor and Brady both went on the Matterhorn (spelling) for the first time. Don said he didn't cry but when he asked him if he wanted to go on it again, he said, "No, that was a little scary". We got home late, kids went to bed late and of course they didn't sleep it. Thursday we went to go see the newest arrival in our family. My cousin Kevin and his girlfriend Sara just had a beautiful baby girl named Addison. We all went to go see the baby and bring them dinner. Again the kids had a blast. Have I ever said how crazy TT is? Last night I walked into Gavin's bedroom and she had climbed up the ladder and onto the top bunk and was throwing the stuffed animals onto the floor, she will for sure be the first one to the emergency room for an accident. We again got home too late and again the kids woke up to early, but at least it is Friday. I made a cake for Trevor to bring to school today because they are celebrating his birthday since he doesn't go to school on Monday. Also, I promise I don't like to brag about my kids because I know they all catch up with each other eventually and mine are by no means super advanced, BUT, isn't it kind of impressive that Trevor can throw a baseball up in the air with one hand, put his hands on the bat and hit it???? Maybe that is normal for a 3 year old, I have no idea, but that seems to be pretty good hand eye coordination. Maybe it is from all the ground balls and fly balls that I hit while I was coaching (even when I was pregnant with him).

The two munchkins drinking juice after a long morning of playing with friends.
Taylor going head first down the slide into the water.

Trevor passed out on the couch, his sister was very concerned why he was night night with so many people around him.

Trevor giving TT a big hug (and choking her at the same time).

This is a video of Trevor and Anthony singing ABC's and Twinkle Twinkle to the guitar, soooo cute!!!

What a beautiful weekend it was. Yesterday we went to my friend Shannon's house for a little play date (not really little at all). There were 9 kids there and none of them were even 4 yet!!!! It was beautiful outside, the kids had a blast and the adults got to visist with eachother. The kids came home and took a nap then we headed over to my parents house for a BBQ. This morning we went over to Jeana's house and hung out for a few hours while Don was sleeping and then we came home and brought the pools out and the kids had a blast. THey literally went down the slide 30 times each. Trevor was so tired that he fell asleep on the couch with 6 people around him making lots of noise. He fell asleep at 6:00 and lets just hopw that he is not awake at 4:00, that would not be a good way to start the week.

Good night...

It is 7:20, both kids are asleep, I have already taken my shower and my house cleaner came today.....can it get much better???? Yeah, if my husband was home and I didn't have to go to work in the morning BUT, I will take it.

He can even dribble a basketball

Trevor dribbling a basketball
Trevor catching a basketball (look at that form, we still have to teach him to keep his eyes open)

Trevor in the middle of the court with all of the teachers/staff from our school.

One of the benefits of working at a high school is definitely all of the activities that go on. Before I had kids I went to every game, rally, fundraiser that went on. Those are very far and few between nowadays. I try to go to some of the stuff that is right after school (especially if Don is working) because my kids love it, we would just be hanging out at home and most importantly, I have lots of babysitters!!!! Last night there was a faculty vs. student basketball game to make money for a scholarship in memory of one of our former assistant principals. It started at 7:00 which is what time Trever goes to bed (well at 7:30). I decided to take him because I knew he would love it and he had an absolute blast. He got to sit on the bench while the teams were warming up, sit at the score table for the first quarter and then dance around like a mad man the second quarter. His favorite part had to have been at halftime when he got to go on the main court and dribble the basketball with all of the teachers. I couldn't believe it, my almost 3 year old could dribble a basketball. Don't get me wrong we have been pitching balls at him, kicking soccer balls at him, and shooting hoops with him for over a year, but I never knew he could dribble too. We have always hoped/assumed our kids would be somewhat coordinated but you never really know until you see them against other kids their own age and I think Trevor is going to be an athlete!!!! I hope I'm not jinxing myself but it is pretty amazing some of the things he can do. We'll see.......By the way, we do want him to be smart, polite, kind-hearted, hard-working, etc, and work at that too.

Is this normal????

Is it normal for a 2 (almost 3) year old to look in the toilet after he goes poop? The last week Trevor has looked at his poop and so far it has looked like a: snake, hot dog, letter J, leaf and yesterday a cheetoh!!!!!! He is hilarious. It sounds like he has been doing good on the toilet but he has actually been regressing. Should I tell him he can't look in the toilet after he goes???? Maybe that is where he gets poo poo head from.
