Role Reversal
You all know from all my older posts how I have been down on TT most of her existing life. Well I must say that things have finally changed. She has become so independent in the last few weeks. I used to not be able to walk by her without her screaming and crying, "hold you, hold you hold you". She can now sit and keep herself entertained for hours. She has always been loving and it isn't any different now...she will dish out hugs and kisses to anyone, anytime. Now onto the role reversal, Trevor, who has always been pretty easy now needs 110% attention, focus and concentration all on him during his waking hours, which is a lot these days. There is absolutely no playing by himself or keeping himself entertained. I don't even know why we have all these toys he never wants to play with any of them. As I am writing this, he just came up to me screaming, "change my poo poo mommy, change my poo poo". NICE, I just love changing a 3 year old boys poop!

Vicodin is my new best friend
So I woke up on Sunday morning with THE MOST excruciating pain I have ever felt, even worse than giving birth to my two children!!! My back was so sore that I could barely move. I tried to suck it up and meet Jeana at the park but was in tears by the time I got there. So, I took the kids to my parents and my dad drove me to Urgent Care. The wait was 3 hours long and I knew that there was no way that I could wait that long. I called Jeana who had Vicodin at her house and went and picked it up. I immediately felt a little better and decided that I would just deal with it until today. I went to the chiropractor this afternoon and he immediately ordered me to get an MRI (waiting for referral from doctor) because he thinks I have a very inflamed or protruding disc. He says most likely I will have to get an epidural and we will go from there. I have had two epidurals before and they were lifesavers so lets hope that this one is too. In the meantime I am to take vicodin and ibuprofen. I cannot believe how sore and miserable this is. You don't realize how important those back muscles are until they aren't working properly. The good news is that Don is off the rest of the week. I hope this all happens quick because I don't know how long I can take this!!!!

Best Auntie Award!!
I know that Paige might disagree, BUT I do believe that my two kids have the best auntie in the whole world. I could go on and on for days about all of the things that she does and how much she loves/adores my kids (and they feel the same if not more). We don't have to go to work tomorrow so she thought it would be a great idea to take my kids tonight and have them spend the night with her, great right??? Let me tell you why. We (Don, me, Kelly, Jeana, Anthony) are going to San Diego tomorrow to go watch Don's favorite and the leagues worst, Padres play. We booked one room at the Omni so that we don't have to drive home after the game. Kelly, being the best aunt in the world, really wants me to go out and have a good time after the game but knows how I am about my sleep and how early I have to get up each day. So she thought it would be agood idea if she kept the kids so that I could sleep in in the morning, NO COMPLAINING HERE!!!!! Thanks Kel, you are the best!

Laundry, does it ever end????
Isn't she precious??? Notice she is in her pajamas standing in the little pond at my cousin Kevin's house.
All the kiddos on the way home from the Nature Center.
Trevor and Ruby hugging.
Trevor learned how to slip and slide today!!!!
Besides a bunch of laundry we kept ourselves busy with a bunch of outdoor activities. This morning we met Jeana and her 2 kids at the Nature Center where we did the 2 mile walk with the kids. They all enjoyed it for the most part but did get a little tired at the end. After the walk we went over to Jeanas house to let the kids swim. We then came home for naps, which followed a trip to my cousin Kevin and Sara's house for a family BBQ.
The kids had a blast and came home exhausted.....it is now my turn to go to bed!

I've been tagged.....
The rules: share 7 facts about yourself, some weird and some random. Tag 7 people at the end of your post by leaving their names as well as links to their blog.
I think my sister got all of my peeps but I tought I would do it anyway. I know that Angie probably won't do it so I'm going to get some of her favorites that I know and hope that they will participate. I will really try to find 7 interesting things.....
1. I miss my husband terribly....we have complete opposite schedules and it makes things extremely difficult. With no days off together and little time to ourselves life seems much worse than it is. I understand how lucky we are and I'm so thankful for that, BUT not seeing each other is still hard!!!!!
2. I don't know ow I would survive without my parents and mother- in- law living less than 5 miles from us, they are soooo much help!!
3. It breaks my heart when my sister says that she never wants to have kids. She is the second mother to my kids and anyone around her knows that she would make the BEST MOM ever!!!
4. I thank my lucky stars each day knowing how lucky I am to have such great friends who are going through the same things I am on a daily basis and still want to hang out with me.
5. I absolutely hate sippy cups (with a passion)..... I hate cleaning them, filling them and especially finding them (when they are days old). I cannot wait for my kids to not use them.
6. I'm addicted to blogs. I don't even need to know them as long as I know somebody who knows them I'm hooked. I must read my blogs 3 times a day (maybe 4 on a good day!)) I even try to talk people I work with to start their own blogs.
7. I love my DVR also, but don't feel like I have time to watch TV.. My plan is to get caught up and find new shows (The Office, Gossip Girls) over summer break. The only 3 shows that I watch religiously are: The Hills, American Idol and Gray's Anatomy..
I hope that wasn't too boring, although that is my life...
I don't have 7 people to tag, but here goes.....

Dance Party!!!
Tonight we had our friends Brady, Aubrey, Ruby and Abby over to play. After we took baths we decided to turn the music up real loud and have a dance party!!! As you can see the kids loved it and burned off a bunch of energy (which is always a good thing).
Happy Mothers Day to you all, I hope everyone has a great day and gets lots of loves and kisses from your babies!!!!!

Our Special Day
Today I took the day off of work to spend with Trevor. He had a Mother's Day breakfast at his school so I decided to take the rest of the day off of work to have some special time with just him. As you all know, with two kids it is sometimes hard to make each one feel special. After breakfast we drove out to Santa Ana and went to the Discovery Science Center. They had some pretty cool stuff but it was definitely more for older kids. We decided to leave a little earlier than planned and go ride the ponies. We got there at 11:30 and found out that they didn't open until 12. Sooo, we went to meet my sister, mom and Peggy at El Pollo Loco. After lunch we went back to the ponies and fed the goats. It was the perfect day. He likes to throw fits when he doesn't get his way and the whole potty training thing is driving me crazy, but Trevor is one special little boy. He has the sweetest demeanor and loves everybody. His teachers and all the moms at school had nothing but wonderful things to say about him. He is so friendly and sweet and loving and I am one lucky mom!!!!

Pinatas, picnics and sleepy babies....

TT hitting her first pinata (with help from mom).

With two healthy kids we had a very busy, exciting and fun weekend. Saturday morning we all went to the gym and then went over to Mimi and Papa's house. After breakfast we went to watch a family friend play softball (my dad gives her pitching lessons). After falling asleep on the way home and actually staying asleep for a couple hours we went to our friend Donovan's birthday party. The kids had a blast and my mom went with me so I wasn't running in two different directions, thanks mom!!!
Sunday morning we drove out to the Allen's with the Beard family and the kids were great. We had 7 kids there and all were under 4!!! They actually got along great and us mom's got to visit and catch up. We ended the morning with a picnic in the backyard which the kids all loved and Ang was able to just throw the blanket in the washer.
Thanks again to my wonderful friends and family for keeping me entertained over the weekend. Kelly and Jeana, we miss you here and can't wait to see you.
Here's to another work week...booo, but it is almost over!!!! Plus, I get to take Friday off for a Mothers Day breakfast at Trevor's school.

Much better
Sorry for all of the complaining last night, but it really was a rough week. I just wanted to let you all know that Trevor is back to his normal self, running, jumping, playing, fighting and most of all.....hitting lots of baseballs. He went to school today and was fine and after school we went to the softball/baseball game at Mayfair along with the BBQ to follow the game. He and his sister had a blast. It is amazing how much stress is lifted when your VERY sick child is healthy again!! We have lots planned for the weekend so lets hope that we all stay healthy!!!!

What a week......
I cannot remember a more stressful, horrible week than this last week. It all started when Trevor came home from school LAST Friday. His teacher thought he might have pink eye. No big deal, he has had it before and we have the medicine which works extremely fast. Later that night I thought he felt a little warm but no big deal, he had a busy day at school and playing with friends. We powered through the weekend with not much energy but he still had many moments where he seemed just fine. His fever would come and go but not affect him too much. He did not eat much at all, if anything all weekend.
Now it is Monday morning and Don's mom watches the kids while I am at work and he is sleeping during the day. Trevor wakes up super early and is burning up so I give him some Motrin for the fever, which he throws up. At this point I'm not sure if he is really throwing up or just gagging from the medicine (did I mention that all of the sudden it is a huge battle to get him to take medicine which is normally no problem at all). Marilyn (Don's mom) was planning on taking the kids to Disneyland that day because it is our niece's birthday. Obviously Trevor can't go so I called in sick and stayed home.
Now it is Tuesday morning and Don is off work and has the kids on Tuesdays. Trevor wakes up at 5 am again burning up and is so hot and talking nonsense, we are scared at this point. I also forgot to mention that I woke Don up on Monday afternoon so that I could take Trevor to the doctors. Doctor says there is a virus going around and he'll probably have it for a few more days, if longer to call again. Back to Tuesday morning...we give him medicine and after a little while he cools off and is somewhat back to himself, minus the energy. Trevor has still not eaten at this point, he is on a motrin/tylenol every 3 hours diet (although drinking many fluids).
It is now Wednesday and I had previously scheduled to take work off to watch Jeana's kids for her. The original plan was that Trevor would be at school and Don and I would watch all of the girls at our house. That obviously wasn't going to happen because Trevor was sick and so was Ruby (probably from Trevor). So....I went over to Jeana's house to watch her kids while Don stayed home with ours. Trevor is still not eating and the only time he doesn't have a fever is the first couple hours after medicine. I decide to take him with me to run a couple errands in the afternoon but have to rush home because he is shaking and scaring me again with an extremely high fever. Late that night (around 8 pm) he gets this burst of energy and is playing baseball in the house (of course) and is dripping sweat. At about midnight, Don went in to check on his fever (we had previously woken him up to give him medicine) and said he was clammy but not hot so we were thinking that he may be breaking his fever. YEAH!!!
This morning when Trevor woke up he was not hot and he actually ate food all day. He had not eaten since last Friday at lunch!!! He has had his normal happy demeanor all day and no fever! It has turned into a little head cold but we can handle that any day.
Did I mention that this couldn't have happened in a worse week? My babysitter for Taylor (who is still perfectly healthy) is gone all week at her daughters wedding(the same wedding Kelly is in) and we are testing at work so it is not like I an just call in sick. Also, Kelly is in Oregon. My mom is staying home with TT tomorrow and Trev will be back at school. We will see how it goes. I am so emotionally, mentally and physically drained. I cannot remember a time where I was more scared for a sick child ( I guess that means we are just lucky). I just pray that this weekend is filled with healthy kids, healthy parents and lots of sleep. Don has been such a trooper. He has been home with these sick, crying, whining babies for the last 3 days AND he had to go to work tonight. Lets home for a calm, no crime night in Laguna Hills because there will be one tired and worn out deputy.
