Just for you Courtney....

I'm absolutely exhausted right now but I saw Courtney's comment and decided to suck it up and post when I should be in bed asleep. It has been over a week and you know how we like to keep busy, so here are a few things that we have been doing...... Just this weekend....I got off from work on Friday and picked up the kids from school and took Trev to swimming lessons (he is doing soooo awesome, by the way. On Friday he dove into the water through a hula hoop). I will do another post with pics from that. After swimming we met Jeana and her kids at McDonalds (first time) to let them play. Saturday morning we were at the gym by 8:30 then went to Trevor's soccer and then to Jackson's birthday party (great party Azure!!!). After naps I got to leave for the evening for Bunco (we had so much fun, they even had a karaoke machine!!) Sunday was the same. Jeana, Kelly and I took the kids to the LA Zoo. It was so fun and the kids had a great time. We had a coupon and were able to bring in all of our lunches so it worked out great! This evening the Allens, Jeana, Kelly and I hung out and watched the baseball game (the game was on but with 6 kids running around there is not much watching going on). That was just this weekend, here are some pics from the last week or so.

Zoo pictures

Last weekend we were at Jeanas one night and she set up a pumpkin painting night. The kids had a blast painting pumpkins.....even though the set up was much longer than the actual task!!

The best part of the last couple of weeks had to be the NKOTB concert. It was 30,000 women that filled the Staples center and the concert was AWESOME!!!! They played all of their old songs and we never sat down. The next day at work I told all my freshman about it and also made them listen to a song.....so funny, one of my football players added "Step by Step" to his myspace and makes me play it every Thursday to get him pumped up for his game!
It was also Kelly's birthday last weekend so we spent the weekend celebrating that.

We have another busy week, I will try to be better with my posts.

Neil, Museums and Boat Rides......

Me, Kelly and Jeana at Neil Diamond

Here is a picture of half of our group.

Mom and Debby

Ang, Claire, Ayesha, Amanda and Mike on the bus ride to the Hollywood Bowl.

TT had a blast at the museum. She would not let go of this wagon and wanted to put everything into it. Here is a picture of her throwing a fit because she couldn't get it up the stairs. Isn't that so cute??

Trev and TT on the carousel.

Ruby, Trev and TT petting the fake wolf. They got M & M's for this picture.

Trev, TT and papa on the boat ride.

Me and my lovebugs. They are the BEST (most of the time).

THis is a video of TT singing Twinkle Twinkle on the microphone for everyone to hear at the museum. Too cute!!!

We have had a very busy few days (nothing new!!!) On Thursday night we had a mother/daughter girls night out and went to see Neil Diamond. There were 12 of us and we all had a great time. We took the park and ride bus ($5 each) and it drove us all the way to the Hollywood Bowl and back (did I mention that you can drink on the bus???) I don't know many of his songs and we had ALMOST the worst seats in the entire place but I think we all had a wonderful time. Friday night we met some friends at the park for a couple hours, Trev had a blast playing with Kade and before he got there he was playing baseball with a little 10 and 12 year old boy...they were so patient with him! Saturday morning I met Jeana and her kids and we all went to the La Habra Childrens Museum. It was free to get in and the kids had so much fun. I took Trev there when TT was just a newborn so he wasn't even 2 and he had so much more fun this time. After naps today we went down to the ocean and rented one of those little Duffy boats with my family. My aunt Judy is here from out of town so we thought she would enjoy a little ride through the harbor. Off to work tomorrow.....boo!!! Although on Wednesday we get to go see NKOTB!!!! Hangin Tough!

I'm so lucky!!!!!

I feel so very lucky for many things in my life and know that I am truly blessed. But how often does a best friend send you flowers to work for no reason at all???? I have had a rough week with Trevor and with Don's work schedule life has been very crazy and sad. I was at work today and an aide walked in with these beautiful flowers and a card that said, "Have a great day!" Love, Joana (it took me an hour to figure out it was Jeana), but how sweet is she? I don't know anyone more thoughtful and considerate and feel so lucky to have her in my life. Jeana, you made my day, thank you so much...you are the BEST!!! I love you!!!

Happy Birthday Nanny!

Happy Birthday Nanny! We love you so much and are so thankful that we got to spend your special day together. Thank you for all that you do!!!

Oh what a week.....

It all started Sunday night.......I was able to go to dinner with some old high school friends that I haven't seen in years and got a call from my mom who was watching the kids, "Is Trevor sick?? He is saying that his tummy hurts". He was acting a little lethargic in the morning but I didn't really think much of it. I call her a little while later and he has now thrown up. I leave the restaurant to go pick them up and take them home. He sleeps horrible all night on Sunday and wakes up saying that his neck hurts. I HAD to go to work for a meeting in the morning and then get a sub for the rest of the day to take care of him (TT is at school). We go to the doctor and he does a throat culture and says we will know if it is strep in 48 hours, luckily he gives me amoxycillin to give him just in case. He starts taking it and is a new kid by Tuesday. I go to work Tuesday and feel horrible but I can't take 2 days off, for goodness sakes it is the 2nd week of school and it's not like I have a bunch of sick days-they stole those from me when I had the babies!!!! I come home from school still feeling horrible but waiting for the call to see if it is strep throat. TT looks horrible and by 6:00 she has thrown up 2 times and says her mouth hurts. We all sleep (I guess you can call it that) in my bed and I wake up with the WORST sore throat I have ever had, I literally wanted to chop my whole head off. I call in sick, Trevor goes to school because he is fine, we keep TT home with us and start giving her Trev's medicine because we still haven't gotten the results back and I call my doctor who prescribes me some amoxycillin over the phone. I was a train wreck all day yesterday, THANK GOD Don was off to help with TT and dropping off and picking up Trev. We got the call in the afternoon and they said it was strep throat (which I already knew, because what I had was not just a sore throat) and prescribed some antibiotics for TT! We are all on amoxycillin, minus DON, but I think he is going to take some of mine just to be on the safe side. Kids seem to be much better, I'm better but still pretty sore. I wish I would have called on Tuesday to get my meds and I probably wouldn't of gotten so bad. I guess that is what happens when you have kids.....you forget about taking care of yourself!!! Off to work I go!
p.s. Is it really only THursday???

Last couple of weeks

I was off for 3 months for summer and I'm having the hardest time getting back into the groove. I don't know how I was a full time working mom. How did I ever have time to do laundry, clean the house, make meals, go grocery shopping AND take care of kids while working??????? I'm feeling overwhelmed, but I'm sure it is just trying to get back into the swing of things. Here is a little of what has been going on....

***Both of the kids are now going to school on Mon, Wed and Fri. Trevor is as happy as can be and TT enjoys it as long as she is with her brother. Her teacher says that as soon as they get separated to their own classrooms she loses her mind. That makes me happy and sad. I love that they are so close but it breaks my heart that she misses him. On a good note...each day she has been at school she has been going pee on the potty. I wish I had more energy to work on it at home!!!

***Don has been working extremely long hours and lots of overtime. That sucks...but we definitely need the money, I think all we did was spend money all summer! He just got his new schedule which starts in a couple of weeks and he works on Fri, Sat and Sun nights, isn't that GREAT? Seriously, that is the worst schedule he can possible have. I have to keep telling myself that it is only temporary.

*** My new students are great so far, but it is always like that in the beginning. I'm reading New Moon (Twilight series) and have so much trouble putting it down. The problem is that I no longer have those 2 hours each day of nap time. The kids are awake by the time I get home and after they are in bed I'm way to exhausted.

I have tons of pictures and much more to share but I'm going on a date with my husband, so maybe this weekend!!!
