Still here.......barely

It has been a long time....... Two weekends ago we went away for Jeana's bachelorette weekend (I guess you can call it that). 6 girls going to the mountains for a weekend who barely got out of our PJ's!!! We played alot of cards, watched alot of movies, did some karaoke (in the cabin) and had just a couple drinks!!!!! It was absolutely perfect because we didn't have to wake up to kids, didn't have to take care of anyone, and woke up to snow!!!! Me and my favorite girlie!!!! She is the BEST, most honest, most generous, most thoughtful, and most sincere person I know! I love you Jeana and can't wait to spend your special day with you!

After that weekend, I was able to go see Phantom of the Opera. My friend from work ordered like 50 tickets for the ASB kids and had some extra so me, Julie, Kelly and Tara got to go, a picture of us at the bar next door.

Now for the best part......these two kiddos! Trev is in full baseball mode. He has practice twice a week and practices almost everyday. He has improved so much and still loves it. He is a crack up to watch and we cannot wait for him to actually play games. He has his first scrimmage on Wednesday and Opening Day is on Saturday, although they don't have their first game until next Thursday (5th). It has been a great experience for us, Don is able to go to all the practices and helps coach, along with 10 other dads (which I guess is unusual). The other teams in the league cannot believe the help we have, I like it because Don is able to be out there with Trev as he is the youngest. Trevor has also turned into the sweetest little boy ever.....he has finally figured life out! It took 4 years (almost), but I think he is there! He is so sensitive and if I raise my voice at all, he breaks down and says, "I'm so sorry mommy", with tears!!! Too sensitive, yes, but better than yelling no and running away!!!! As I was kissing him goodnight tonight, he says "Mommy....I'm so sorry I didn't eat my spaghetti tonight". Love him!!!

His sister on the other hand......IS TESTING MY PATIENCE!!!! She has been my sweetheart but is totally turning on me, I know, that is what happens. She is still doing great in school, doing much better on the potty and is so addicted to being a girlie girl that I can't even believe it! She wakes up wanting to put her Little Mermaid dress on, screams when we don't let her put her Cinderella dress on, refuses to let me put on make up without her putting it on, has to have lip gloss or chap stick on at all times, will only watch Cinderella, Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty and Monsters Inc (believe it or not), threw a fit a couple days ago because she was playing Wii bowling with Trev and her ball was blue and not pink, and tonight as I was getting her ready for dance she would not put on her jean jacket because it was blue and just had to have her rain coat because it had pink pok a dots...........Seriously, what is wrong with this picture????? She cannot be my child!

Had to put this picture in, Daddy and Trev in their Dodger gear after practice, TOO CUTE!!!

Happy Valentines Day!!

Unfortunately Don has to work tonight, but I was lucky enough to spend the day with 2 of the 3 of my Valentines! We had baseball practice in the morning and went to the park after practice. Both kids are sleeping on the couch at my parents house (first time by the way!!!) while I was trying to stay out of the house for Don to sleep a little longer (he went to practice this morning with very little sleep). Maybe tomorrow we can do something without all the crowds.

OF COURSE.............SHE LOVES IT!!!!

Well dance class was a complete success, at least in Taylor's eyes. Of course, she absolutely loved it and it is all she has talked about. I have to give it to the teacher, having a smile on her face after dealing with 16 two year olds is amazing. My little girl did great! She listened and sat and did everything the teacher asked her to do, she was a model student!! Let's hope this continues!!! I still have NO idea where this kid came from, she is the sweetest thing ever and just wants to love you and touch you and caress you all day......and of course play with and be a princess!!! I keep telling myself she is 2 and will get over it! I had an interesting conversation with my great friend Julie tonight (an All-American at UCLA) and she said she would leave the softball field and put on her tights for dance............SO, hopefully there is hope!!!!

Before we left..... They do tap and ballet, a little preview of tap (at least she is tough!!!)
The best part of the night......they had to do individual pirouettes (spelling is wrong for sure) across the room, The first girl did great, after that it turned into a sprint. Taylor was about the 8th kid to go. Of course she sprinted as fast as she could, but the ending is what makes me most proud.......

Yes, she did, slide (it was not a trip) into home base!!! Hope for her possibly????

The last week.....

We have been on the go as usual the last week. Trevor is still loving baseball and has practices two times a week. Taylor has her first dance class tonight at 6:45, we shall see how that goes. She can't stop talking about it and she better like it because the shoes/outfits are expensive.

On Saturday night we went to go watch the Cal vs. USC basketball game. One of my favorite students of all times plays for Cal so I wanted to see him before he graduated. It brought back so many fond college memories (the good old days!). TT using a chicken wing as a phone!
Last weekend we went to the CHildrens Museum, here are a few pics.

Trevor was so funny because he kept putting on these masks and running around this one particular room. About every minute or so you would see him go to the mirror to check himself out!

Laying down at Jeana's house, getting ready for bed.

Last Thursday I got out of work early and so we met Angie and my friend Amanda at Disneyland.

The most eventful part of the week for Taylor had to be the princesses she saw at Disneyland. This was my first time at the princess area and you would have thought she had died and gone to heaven.

She gave Ariel a hug and would not let her go, it was so so cute! How in the world did I get such a girlie girl???

Capturedyouth.com

We have been sooooo fortunate to have a photographer in the family for so many different occasions. He took our engagement pictures, wedding pictures and now our children's pictures!!! Tonight my cousin Kevin, had his first photo expo/gallery at a doctors office in Orange County. He had many photos throughout the office and is such an amazing photographer. I'm sure I enjoyed them a little more because many of them were of my kids, but those of you with kids would not be disappointed!!! He comes to you and is the most patient photographer when it comes to taking pictures of kids......which is HUGE!!!! Here are a few of his pictures.....
TT posing (I have never seen this picture before tonight, and he seriously has taken 4,000 pictures of my kids!!!)
This was Ruby's room (Jeana's daughter)

A picture of Trev in the actual doctor's office!!!

Taylor had many pictures throughout the office, this room was dedicated to her..... the big picture is my favorite of all.... upper right picture is her big old behind which she will hate later in life, bottom picture......two fingers in the nose, AWESOME!!!!

TT again in her pajamas standing in the middle of a pond...priceless!!!

This was Trev's newborn picture (almost 4 years ago...so sad) It took lots of hours to get this picture so perfect, Don's forearm was about to bust, but a picture we will cherish forever!!! We tried to do it with TT too but couldn't get it as perfect!!
He is sooooo awesome, please check out his website and give it a try.....you won't be disappointed!!! He also does pregnancy pics!!

And so it begins......

The weeks and weekends filled with sports has begun! Trevor had his first t-ball practice this morning and our lives I'm sure will never be the same. After the parent meeting yesterday, the coaches decided we should go ahead and start practicing right away. Trevor is the youngest kid on the team and did so well today, most importantly....he had a blast and wants to go back. There are 14 kids on his team and there were probably 7 dads that were helping, it was so cute!!! Trevor has alot of work to do but he did a great job following directions and you could see his brain working because he was trying to concentrate so hard. They did baserunning at the end of practice and he had the funniest look on his face and he kept missing the bases so finally on the last time he stopped at each base to make sure he touched them!!!!! After practice 4 of the families went to CHick-fil-a to let the kids play for a while longer and it was so awesome watching Trevor play and run around with his new Dodger teammates, I think we are going to love this!!!

Trev in his new baseball pants before practice.
Last night we had a few friends over for a BBQ and Jeana brought stuff for them to have root beer floats, of course they loved it!! Aubrey and Abby....

Trevor, Preston and TT....
Here is a picture from last week when TT got her first pedicure! The picture on top is from yesterday when we were at the park. I was plucking my eyebrows and TT got into the make up bag and put mascara on her lips, I guess she thought it was lip gloss!!

Are you ready for some BASEBALL??? We are!

I think our life is about ready to change forever!!! We signed Trevor up for baseball in a kind of hard core league (not exactly what we wanted) but, he meet the age requirement by 2 weeks. They have to be 4 by April 1st and he is 4 on March 17th. We just got the call that he got the team we requested and we have our first parent meeting next Sunday!!!! I'm SURE he will be the youngest kid out there and it will be very interesting to see how he does, but his parents sure are excited!!! They have 1-2 practices a week and 1-2 games a week, so usually 3 days a week. Trevor can hit home runs very frequently and he can throw the ball like a rocket but he seriously has NO IDEA how to catch the ball, squeeze his glove, or even put it on!!! Very scary considering he will be playing with 6 year olds!!! We hear it is normal for 4 year olds not to know how to catch but we will see. Opening day isn't for another month so we still have time to work with him, time for some double days!!!

Taylor on the other hand is the biggest girlie girl ever!!! All she wants to do is play with her princesses, paint her nails, put make up on everyone, play with her dollhouse, watch The Little Mermaid, brush my hair and cuddle and hug and rub your face all day long......I secretly LOVE IT!!! I was not like that at all, but it is the cutest thing ever!!!! I took her for her first mani/pedi on Sunday! Not really a mani/pedi (it was actually a $5 polish on her nails and toes) BUT, she thought she was in heaven. I have pics but I had to get a new camera when my car was broken into and haven't figured out how to download yet, hopefully soon!!!
