Fun With Friends

She can be so cute and sweet sometimes.
Trevor and Brady giving each other a hug which turned into wrestling on the floor.

Brady and Taylor had a blast playing in the dirt. Taylor is going to love this picture with her big belly someday.

Abby got her first fat lip today and she still had a smile on her face.

Ruby and TT giving each other a kiss.

This is a video of Trevor, Taylor and Ruby playing ring around the rosies. The ending is hilarious and so typical!!!

We had another action packed weekend with friends. Don was working so I kept the kids occupied with lots of "play dates". Trevor has kind of been down and out this weekend, he has had an off and on fever and his eye has been kind of pink and bothering him. He has been very lethargic and extremely whiny which is not like him. He seems to be doing a little better tonight so we are hoping he is better tomorrow. We are supposed to go to Disneyland for his cousin Lona's birthday.

Friday night Jeana came over with her kids and we let them play in the pool. They all had a blast (minus Trevor), which is when I thought something might be up, he never misses out on a pool session.

Saturday morning I met Jeana at the park. The kids spent much of the time under the awning sitting in the shade because it was like 90 degrees. Both kids took a nap at the same time and so did mommy. I was able to sleep for 2 hours and it was sooo needed. My parents came over to my house to watch the kids on Saturday night because I played Bunco. Bunco was a blast and I won $100 bucks.

Today we drove out to see Brady and Aubrey (Brian and Angie too). We left a little later than normal because Jeana had a family breakfast to go to. Angie had gotten her pool out so the kids went swimming, played in the dirt, took about 100 books off the bookshelf, fell down stairs, fought over toys and got so exhausted that Trevor, Taylor and Abby slept most of the way home, Ruby had other ideas!!!

Once again I cannot believe the weekend is already over and I have to go back to work tomorrow. We are testing this week so at least I can get a bunch of reading done. I'm so lucky to have such wonderful friends to keep me occupied on the weekends while Don is sleeping or working!

He can be sooo cute....sometimes!

About 15 minutes after I put Taylor to bed tonight Trevor realizes that she is no longer in the living room (even though she gave him a big smacker on the lips). He asked me, "Where is TT?" I told him that she is in bed sleeping and how tired she was. He said, "But I miss her and I love her".
How cute is that? Although, the minute they wake up they will be yelling and fighting over every single thing in our house. It is good while it lasts.

Baseball Star

We had a very uneventful (normal) weekend. Don had to work all weekend so we found time to see our friends. On Friday night we went over to Jeana's house and hung out until bedtime. Saturday morning I went to the gym and then took the kids to Chick-fil-a to eat lunch, play on the toddler (inside) playground and get my car washed. Who would have thought you could kill 3 birds with one stone? After naps we headed out to our friend Jack's birthday party. The kids had a blast and had the best hot dogs (or at least mommy thought so) and most importantly came home EXHAUSTED.

Sunday morning we went to breakfast and hung out at my parents house. Trevor played baseball for most of the afternoon and as you can tell he had the time of his life. This is a video of him hitting the ball and running the bases. He refuses to stand next to home plate and wants to stand ON it, he says he is only trying to concentrate.

I can't believe that I already have to go back to work tomorrow. It seems like the week days last forever and the weekends go by so quick. I'm sure it is because of the kids and the guilt. Trevor actually has been a great boy these last couple of days which makes it even harder, thinking that he is misbehaving more when I'm at work. Let's hope we have a great week and he was just going through another one of his "stages"----(how many do they have???)

Trike-a-thon

Look at the concentration on his face. He thinks that he is racing.
All the older kids where yelling "Go Trevor Go" as he rode by.

Right after they got started, their teacher walked them through the path that they were to stay on....notice who is in front.

Can you believe that we don't have a helmet for this kid yet? We had to use Don's and just tighten it up. Lord knows Trevor has a big enough head...he probably wouldn't even fit in a kids helmet.

Trevor cheesing it up before he started his ride.

Trevor's school had a trike-a-thon today to raise money for St. Jude's Hospital. They rode for half an hour and had pledges for the amount of laps they rode. No one was actually counting, but I can GUARANTEE that my son had the most laps out of his class. I truly believe that he lapped all the kids (but one) at least 4 times. He was the first one to start and the last one to stop. All the kids got off their bikes at one point to get water and take a break, but not my Trevor. He wanted to be the best and he wanted to win!!!!J/K. We paid for it later when the 2 hour nap that he takes at school was not enough and he was exhausted and grumpy all night. The race was too cute and he had a blast. I was able to take one hour off of work and go watch which I'm so thankful I did.
Trevor and I have had a rough week. I feel extremely guilty that I am at work all day and when I'm home all I do is yell and get angry at him. He has been very naughty this week: not listening much at all, complete defiance, throwing fits whenever he doesn't get his way, yelling, screaming, hitting and pooping/peeing in his pull up all the time. He was doing so good with potty training but has done a complete tailspin this last week. The one month that he has been 3 has been 100 times worse than any "terrible two" moment we ever had. I think I need to take 2 weeks off of work and not leave the house and do time outs and spankings all day long!

Someone is delirious

This is a short video of Trevor right before he went to bed. He always watches an episode of Barney and at the very end they were talking about covering your mouth when you sneeze. You would of thought that he was at a comedy club the way he was laughing. I cannot get enough of his laugh, it is like his dad's, it comes from deep down in his belly!!!

Birthdays, undies and lots of messes!

We had a fun filled Saturday!! It started off great because Don was on a normal schedule so he got up with the kids and I got to sleep until 9:15!!! Trevor was a handful most of the morning after I woke up but he was tired and both kids took a nap for a couple of hours before we headed out to 2 different birthday parties. Don's "normal schedule" officially ended at this time as he went down for his nap because he had to work from 6:30 pm to 6:30 am tonight (his real schedule). I headed out with the kids to our first party (a friend of mine from work's daughter turning 4). The kids had a blast even though it was 95 degrees outside and I was dripping sweat doing nothing while they were in the jumper.
Next we headed over to Jeana's house for a BBQ. Her birthday was on Friday and so her family had a little birthday BBQ. It was still super hot outside so we pulled out the pools and the kids had a blast. They must have each gone down the slide at least 20 times.
The kids came home bathed and exhausted which is a great thing when you are by yourself. They are now both in bed and I think I need a shower after all the sweat that dripped down my back today!!
I think the best part of my whole weekend is that we are (the girls) going to a champagne brunch tomorrow to celebrate Jeana's birthday. Can't wait!!!!!

Jeana, Trevor and Ruby blowing out candles.
Jeana and TT saying "cheese".

Trevor hugging (or strangling) Ruby, not sure which one, although she didn't cry afterward.

This is what I woke up to this morning. I guess TT threw a huge fit when her brother was putting on his undies because she wanted them on too. Don gave in.

TT eating chips and dip at Jeana's. I'm not really sure if she even ate a chip, I think she just used them for a spoon. I had to get a separate bowl for her because she kept on double dipping.

TT eating her cupcake in an ice cream cone at the first birthday party. I know you are all thinking that no wonder those kids are so chubby.....I swear they don't always eat like this, it was a special day!!

A Normal Schedule

Don has been doing DUI training this whole week and is working from 8-5 everyday. Although he has had to work for like 10 straight days it is so nice to have him home at night. He and Trevor have been able to watch baseball together every night which is so cute to watch and Trevor LOVES it.

Unfortunately, all good things have to come to an end and he has to go back to working the night shift on Saturday but it was good while it lasted. Today he volunteered to be the drunk person so the rest of the class can perform field sobriety tests on him. Rough job huh? He is at work right now drinking all morning and after lunch he is going to be the model for the class.

These are a couple of cute pictures of him watching baseball with the kids.
