I know that all I have done the last week is complain about my kids and their sickness and the rain but I can now stop. We had the worst night of sleep EVER on Monday night (I got 2 hours total). Both kids were up at different times and crying like they were dying. At about 2:30 am Trevor tells me that his ear hurts (after crying for 2 hours). I'm thinking to myself, "Oh my gosh, he has an ear infection" and feeling so bad for having no sympathy for him. I go to work on Tuesday morning and call our doctor at 8am, get an appointment for 8:50, convince Don to take both of them (because he is home with both of them on Tuesdays) and what do you know....they both have an ear infection. He gets amoxycilin (spelling) in both of them by 10, I get home around 3 and they both are completely different kids by that evening. Neither of my kids have EVER had an ear infection so that didn't even cross my mind. After Trevor was telling me his ear hurt, I'm thinking to myself... How did I not see this? My kids are never sick for 10 days straight. Needless to say I felt completely guilty. I never even thought of an ear infection and had lost all of my patience for the last week.
Everyone is feeling great now. Both kids are back at school/daycare and are happy not to be couped up inside. We have a busy weekend so lets hope that we can stay healthy and happy.

I'm glad to hear you all are on the road to recovery! Just in time for the Superbowl party! Don't feel guilty. You're a great mom, Kim. Now you know for next time, and so do I for when Jackson goes through this! : )
It happens to all of us, the word next to the definition of guilt in the dictionary is MOM. Those ear infections are sneaky, we took Ethan to Tahoe and he screamed the whole way up and the whole time we were there, all night long. No sympathy from either parents, next day, doctor full blown ear infection in both ears. Yep, makes you feel great! My hope was that he would be to young to remember. That can be yours too! Love, me
I am so sorry to hear that!! I just took Jack in for his shots today and guess what - ear infection! Poor kids. I felt exactly the same way, he's been pulling at his ear for days and I just chalked it up to his eye teeth coming in as I have been told no ear infections too many a time that I have thought they had them before. I'm SO glad they are feeling better (o:
The boys have had several ear infections this year. I took Rocco in last week for a cough and the Doc said he had a ear infection. He didn't even complain about his ear hurting. Hey, when your sleep deprived it's bound to happen. Glad that there feeling better.
Awww! Only really good mommies feel guilty, Kim!
