Calling names....

Trevor got in trouble AGAIN at school today, well actually it was from yesterday. He had a note on the sign out sheet from his teacher from yesterday that read, "Trevor is not being a good friend, he is calling his friends names". I see this when I drop him off this morning but his teacher is not there yet so I can't talk to her. I'm totally stressing out about it all day thinking, "What in the world would he say, we really try to watch our language around him". I pick him up this afternoon and of course the first thing I ask is, "how was he today?" She said he was good, much better than the last 2 days. I then ask what names he was calling his friends and she says "poo poo heads". I'm laughing inside and breathing a sigh of relief at the same time and I wanted to say, "at least it wasn't sh--head"!!! Where in the heck would he learn that except for at school.

Picking battles

I literally sat there and watched her take every single piece of tuperware out of the cupboard.

It was one of those days. I have to choose the battles that I want to pick with both kids because I would literally be fighting them all day long. Taylor loves to take everything out of this cabinet and most of the time I don't let her but there are days that I just don't feel like fighting her about it. Trevor has had 2 bad days at school in a row and I'm so upset about it I want to cry. Yesterday he got his first time out for not getting off of a chair that his teacher asked him to get off 3 times and today she said he didn't listen to her most of the day. That is not like him. He may not behave at home but he is usually great at school. Now I am so distraught over it and not knowing what to do. I threatened him with a spanking but does that really work 3 hours later after he gets picked up??? Lets just hope he behaves tomorrow or it is going to be a looooong weekend.

How many times can a child pee????

You all know how we have been working with Trevor and his potty training and he has been doing outstanding. Only one poop in a pull up in over a week. But seriously, how many times can they pee???? He literally goes pee 12 times a day and poops probably 4 times a day. We can't keep up! It is hard to get excited that many times a day. It is so cute, every time he goes TT wants to be in the bathroom with him and then she says, "Yaaaahhh, pee pee" and gives him a high five. That is about the only cute thing she has been doing the last couple of days, if you know what I mean!

A Little Privacy Please!

This is Trevor going poop on his own little potty. He wants a little privacy so he always hides behind the shower curtain, notice the toes underneath it!
I snuck this picture of him. He won't let me watch (not that I want to) so I put my camera around the shower curtain and got a picture.

A little poop in the jacuzzi won't hurt anyone! This was from Taylor. They wanted the lights out to see the stars. TT was saying poo poo but they didn't figure it out until everyone was out (Auntie Kelly, Mimi, Trevor and TT). Papa was not very happy. He said, "DO NOT put that on your blog!!!"
The first update I need to talk about is my little boy who FINALLY has sort of figured out potty training. He has been so stubborn about it but we had some HUGE milestones this last week. First, he pooped at school, Second, he went up to Don on Thursday and said, "I go poo poo on potty daddy" and he actually went (and continued to do so about 5 times within 30 minutes). I think he got so excited that he went that he would just go a little and get up. He now will do a big poop and even go at my parents and in public!!! Today we were at Jeana's house for a little while and he got too caught up in Baby Einstein that he peed in his pants, but we are making great progress. Tonight we were at my parents house and my mom and sister took the kids in the jacuzzi for their bath (like they do 1-2 times a week) and for the first time ever one of the kids pooped in the jacuzzi. It had to be Taylor but nobody knows for sure. Papa was not very happy.
I don't have any pictures from my night out with the girls on Friday, BUT why did none of you tell me that they don't serve alcohol at the Blue Bayou??????? We waited for 45 minutes (after our reservation time) and sat down to find out they didn't have any wine! WE almost walked out J/K. The food was great and the company even greater. We were just shocked to find that nobody told us about the alcohol part, especially after everyone we told said, "I was wondering why you were going there" NICE!!! THANKS!

Pink eye

Trevor came home from school yesterday with pink eye....the first time for either of the kids. We caught it super early because we knew he had been exposed and the eye drops are miraculous. Besides the fact that I have to pin him down with all of my body weight (and you all know that that is alot!!!), they literally made it completely better within 24 hours. I went ahead and gave them to TT tonight just for precautionary reasons. I can't have her get it because tomorrow night is a big night out. It is Angie's birthday and so we have reservations at the restaurant in Pirates of the Carribean at DIsneyland, just the girls, CAN'T WAIT!!!

Fun at the Allens'

Somehow all 4 kids ended up in Aubrey's crib. My bet is that Brady and Trevor had something to do with it.
Brady and Trevor came downstairs to tell us that Aubrey made a mess...this is what we walked upstairs to see.

The kids playing in the pirate ship.

TT riding Aubreys horse with her witch hat on.

The two rascals riding the airplane at the park.
On Monday I had off work and Don got off that morning so he went to The Allen's and slept in Brady's bed and waited for us to get there. We drove up after TT's nap and stayed most of the day. The kids had so much fun and get along so great. It is so funny to watch Brady and Trevor play, they get upset when the other isn't paying attention and they just want to play "guns" all the time. It has only been the last few months that they have learned how to "play" with eachother, at least that Trevor has learned how to play. So much fun to watch!!!

Another busy weekend

Is it bad when your son wakes up in the morning and the first thing out of his mouth is, "What are we going to do today mommy?". Trevor is so used to going going going on the weekends that he now expects us to always have a full day of plans. On Saturday I went to the gym in the morning and took the kids to the "Kidzone". We went straight to the park to meet Jeana and her kids and stayed for a couple of hours. The kids came home and took a nap which allowed me to take a shower and get myself ready. When they woke up we went to Treovor's friend Miles birthday party. I was by myself with the two kids and they both had a blast. We came home and the kids went straight to bed and I was asleep by 8:15. On Sunday we woke up and my parents took the kids to breakfast so that I could go to the gym and come home and take a quick shower. I went and picked up the kids and we again headed off to the park to meet Jeana. After a couple hours at the park we came home and the kids slept for about 3 hours, IT WAS OUTSTANDING!!!!! I got to go sit outside in the sun and read my magazine. The best part of the weekend was on Sunday night when I got to go meet two of my college softball friends for dinner. We drove out to the Spectrum and had dinner at Yard House. It was so nice to catch up, we ended up sitting at the restaurant for 3 hours. Thank goodness I don't have to work today so I can actually get some stuff done around the house. We are going to go visit the Allen's a little later after Taylor wakes up from her nap. Don is currently taking a nap on Brady's bed waiting for us to get there.

Happy Valentine's Day!!!

I got to spend the day with 2 of my 3 Valentine's this year. Don had to work so the rest of us took off to Disneyland. Trevor had "special person" day at school and so he wanted to take his auntie Kelly more than anyone. There is already a Mother, Father and Grandparents day and Kelly is just as special to my kids as anyone. She got to spend a couple of hours with him and witness what a "good boy" he is at school. Some of the other parents were there and said that he acts like the room monitor, going up to each person who walks in and saying hi, surprise surprise not a shy bone in his body. After work we thought it would be a good idea to go to Disneyland. Me, Kelly and my two kids, Jeana and her two kids and Brian and Angie and their two kids. The kids had a blast. Brady and Trevor were the cutest...holding hands wherever they went. The rest of the kids had a great time too. We didn't get home until 8:45 and my kids go to bed between 7 and 7:30 so tomorrow morning should be interesting, especially since I am on my own taking both to two different places and being to work by 7:30.......should be fun!!!!! I hope everyone had a great Valentine's Day. We love you all!!!

She is growing up!!

I know that I am going to kick myself for even writing this......every time I talk good about my kids it backfires in my face. BUT, my little girl is growing up so fast. She has been so good and so fun the last few days. She is playing so much more independently and just wants to do everything that her brother does. He bosses her around and she just loves it. They play this little game where she talks her baby talk and he cracks up at her so she just keeps saying the same thing over and over. I found her laying across Trevor's chair reading (or looking at) a book and then 15 minutes later I heard her having a full on conversation with someone so I walk back into the room and she is laying on Trevor's Spiderman doll just talking to him.
On Sunday I took the kids to watch Oklahoma play UCLA and met up with 4 other girls that I played with in college and all of their kids. FOr some reason my two kids were the only ones who refused to sit down and just wanted to go up and down the bleachers, go say hi to everyone and eat everyone else's food. The whole time I was there I was thinking, "how did I get 2 kids that don't stop"? But, I really would have it no other way. They both have so much personality and really do make everyone laugh. They keep us on our toes and it is a little scary how comfortable they are around strangers but it is so nice to not have to worry about them being shy. TOO CUTE!!!!! I have some great pictures to add but for some reason it is not working, I will try again tomorrow, I need to go to bed.

Whale watching and a party!!!!

Trevor and Brady in their Spiderman shirts. When Brady pulled up Trevor said, "Mommy, my best friend is here". They are so cute because they can actually "play" together, like talk and understand and pretend, it is sooo nice to not have to worry about them (except when they are using the guns as swords and hitting eachothers hands).
TT eating the frosting from the spoon (she was supposed to be decorating it).

Aubrey looking as cute as ever in her Valentine's outfit.

Nanny, Trevor and Lona on the boat.

Trevor giving Nanny a kiss

Jeana holding Ruby who fell asleep and slept for about 45 minutes of the trip.
What a busy day we had!!!! We started the morning off witha 9:00 whale watching trip. Trevor and I, Jeana and Ruby, and Nanny and Lona took the trip through the harbor. We saw dolphins, sea lions and a whale. The whale didn't cooperate much but the adults did see it, unfortunately it was a shy whale so the kids never got a good view of it.
Jeana had a little Valentine's Day party in the afternoon. She of course went above and beyond. The kids' did an art project, had a bean bag toss, a treasure hunt and decorated cupcakes. The kids had a blast, ate way too much sugar and stayed up too late. Please, let them sleep in in the morning. Don has been doing extra training the last few days. They asked him to be on the bike (mountain, not motorcycle) squad so he had to do training all day today. He spent the night last night at Brian and Angie's house. I haven't seen him since Wedndsday night and either have the kdis. They are missing their dad and he is missing them and I am missing someone else to spank Trevor (he has had a rough few days).

Bath Time!!!

Jeana gave 4 kids a bath at the same time in her tub. You should have seen her after, she was covered in water!!!!

"The Miracle Potty"

We have been thinking and talking about trying to potty train Trevor for the last few months and the trying part usually lasts about 2 hours....until he pees or poops all over everything. We have tried M & M's, Chuck E Cheese, Zoo, picking out his own undies and jellybeans. We have two different pottys because we thought for sure it had to be the potty and not the child or the potty trainers. Yesterday Nanny (Don's mom) was watching the kids and she decided to go buy a new potty that she had seen on "John and Kate plus eight" (for those of you mom's, you HAVE to watch this show, I PROMISE it will make your life feel so much easier). It is by BabyBjorn and it doesn't sit on the big toilet but it is it's own toilet. It has a little guard at the front (for the boys) and it has been an absolute miracle for us. We are talking about a kid who has not peed or pooped on the toilet for months (he did it a few times and was just over it). Yesterday he pooped 5 times (mostly little ones) and peed 2 times and today he pooped 2 big ones and peed 2 times. Don had taken them to the park for a couple of hours so he had a diaper on there and also for his nap. He did pee in the corner this evening, but what a HUGE improvement!!!! Tomorrow he goes back to school so hopefully I won't have to hear from his teacher how he is refusing to sit on the potty anymore. Thank you nanny for the potty!!!!!!

Super Bowl Party.....so many kids!!!!!

Aubrey giving TT a kiss. (They are going to be best friends)
Aubrey and TT in the toy chest (notice how much space TT takes up)

Jackson Chance (Azure's baby). The pictures do him no justice, he is the cutest!!!

Abby playing, with TT in her face.

Trevor, Brady and Hannah playing (or fighting) over a toy.
My parents had their annual Super Bowl party tonight and the weather, thank goodness, coopertated. What started out as a bunch of friends getting together to watch a game (and more importantly, commercials) has turned into a baby frenzy!!! We had 9 kids there, all under the age of 4 and they actually all did very well. The parents didn't get to watch too much football but we heard it was a good game!! Courtney was the big winner, winning 3 of the 4 quarters but John was the biggest winner finding the only dog poop in the whole back yard!!!! I hope all of the grandparents got to enjoy the game and not spend too much time chasing grandbabies!!! Next year will definitely be easier (at least for me). The pictures I took are not very good, I apologize, it is so difficult taking pictures of kids who only want to play.

Princess parties and jacuzzi fun!

Trevor sliding head first down the slide in the jumper
TT with her fairy wings (given out at the party) and her face painted

Trevor getting his face painted by the fairy(that also did a magic show).

After a long day papa took the kids into the jacuzzi (aka their bath for the night).

Now that Don works all night on the weekends and tries to get some sleep during the day, I really try to get the kids out of the house because they are far from quiet. I know how it is when I'm trying to take a nap during the day let alone it being my nighttime sleep. So this morning we left the house at 8:30. I dropped TT off at my parents house so she could take a nap before we had to go to a birthday party. I took Trevor to the park where we met Jeana and her 2 kids so that they could run wild for a couple hours. We went back to my parents house around 11 so that I could get both kids dressed for the birthday party which started at 12.
We went to the coolest birthday party ever. It was a girlfriend that I used to work with who had a daughter who was turning 1 so she had a "princess party". They had the biggest "princess" jumper which had a slide, jumper, basketball hoop and an obstacle course in it. They also had a lady to come entertain the kids (magic show, face painting, dancing, etc....) who was dressed as a fairy. They passed out little fairy wings to all of the girls. The most impressive part was they had the taco lady (if you have ever been to a taco lady party you know what I am talking about). Great food and great fun for the kids...they had a blast!!! Trevor came home and slept for about an hour while I took TT to Costco. She is always so horrible there with me (of course with me because she is great for everyone else). When she is with me she either wants me to hold her or she screams......take your pick. Today she decided to knock off 2 boxes of makeup into the middle of the aisle and scream because I am not holding her while Iam picking up these age defying makeup sticks. I should have taken it as an omen that I need to buy them, I seriously have aged 15 years in the last 3!!!!
Thank goodness for mimi and papa! We went over there this evening and I even got to sit in the jacuzzi with Kelly for about 30 minutes with no kids, it was outstanding!!!!
Tomorrow is Super Bowl and we are going back over to my parents house for a party and we even have a jumper for the kids......should be fun!
