"The Miracle Potty"

We have been thinking and talking about trying to potty train Trevor for the last few months and the trying part usually lasts about 2 hours....until he pees or poops all over everything. We have tried M & M's, Chuck E Cheese, Zoo, picking out his own undies and jellybeans. We have two different pottys because we thought for sure it had to be the potty and not the child or the potty trainers. Yesterday Nanny (Don's mom) was watching the kids and she decided to go buy a new potty that she had seen on "John and Kate plus eight" (for those of you mom's, you HAVE to watch this show, I PROMISE it will make your life feel so much easier). It is by BabyBjorn and it doesn't sit on the big toilet but it is it's own toilet. It has a little guard at the front (for the boys) and it has been an absolute miracle for us. We are talking about a kid who has not peed or pooped on the toilet for months (he did it a few times and was just over it). Yesterday he pooped 5 times (mostly little ones) and peed 2 times and today he pooped 2 big ones and peed 2 times. Don had taken them to the park for a couple of hours so he had a diaper on there and also for his nap. He did pee in the corner this evening, but what a HUGE improvement!!!! Tomorrow he goes back to school so hopefully I won't have to hear from his teacher how he is refusing to sit on the potty anymore. Thank you nanny for the potty!!!!!!

Go Trevor! That's awesome! I totally watch "John and Kate Plus 8." I know exactly what potties you're talking about. You're not going to take a picture of him and his poop in the potty like Kate did, are you? : )

Jon and Kate is great! Please don't leave Trevor on the potty and forget about him like Kate did to Colin. lol That was so sad.

Yeah Trevor, tell him Ethan can't wait to see him in his big boy undies.

cutest pics ever.

Let's hope this is the start of something great. Wouldn't it be nice to have to only change one child's diaper. Brady's cheering you on Trevor!!!

Congratulations Kim! Hopefully he wont turn back and you'll have one down one to go! Kade went pee in the potty one time this weekend and thinks that he's done. Every time I tell him it's time to go potty he answers with a very matter of fact: "I did already" then pees where ever he is standing. Keep us posted!

dude...my advice - leave him in a diaper until he's married and on his own. what no one tells you is that even potty trained, the actual amount of pee that goes in the potty is less than 10%. The other 90%, your cleaning off the floor, walls, seat, cabinets, etc... I personally keep Clorax bleach wipes in business...don't say I didn't warn you!
