Bedtime Nigtmares

I'm sitting here writing this post with BOTH of my children still awake at 9:37pm. TT is screaming her head off in her bed and Trevor refuses to go to bed with her screaming. I'm not really sure how I have created this problem, but I have. They used to be the best sleepers and now my almost 2 year old is waking up once every night. Trevor sleeps good once he is in there but it is the whole process of getting him to bed. I thought about recording TT and putting it on here just so you could all COMPLETELY understand what I am listening too. I know you are thinking "just take Trevor in there and put him to bed and let her cry it out". She is literally screaming her ever living head off and he starts crying when he hears her and wants to go console her. My stress level is through the roof right now and I am really at a loss for what to do. I guess they will fall asleep eventually and then be nightmares tomorrow! Fun fun!!!

Bunco

Jeana and I at Bunco, look at that view!!!

I have no idea why these pictures got formatted like this, I'm sure I pushed some button that I wasn't supposed to. Last night was Bunco night and we played at Kelly's friends moms house in Newport Beach. It was so beautiful, her balcony was right on the water. I suggested donating our bunco money and skipping the bunco part so we could just enjoy the view. The picture of Trevor is at the wading pool. I forgot towels so he put his sisters cover up on to dry himself off. Finally the top left corner is a picture of Don and TT sleeping together this morning. She had a rough night last night so after about an hour of tossing and turning and sweating I brought her into bed with us. It worked out perfectly, she slept in until 8:45!!! Don't they look so comfy???

Looking forward to a fun summer.....

Day one of summer started off with a bang this morning. TT literally walked around and screamed for about an hour, I caught some of it on tape so that you could all enjoy it as well. I'm not really sure why she was crying, I think it has something to do with her wanting me to hold her while I was trying to make lunches. We took the kids to the park to play in the wading pool and they had a blast. I really am looking forward to spending the summer with the kids and I'm open for any invitations/ideas to keep them busy. Both of my kids like to keep busy and when we just sit home all day it brings out the worst in their behavior, which is why she is laying on the floor screaming.

Don's surgery went well, he is a trooper. Not one complaint at all and he is back at work less than 48 hours later. He laid around most of the afternoon on Wednesday but he was out and about yesterday.

Tonight I'm going to go play bunco and we actually have nothing planned for tomorrow. I'm sure we will find something to do. Sunday we have a graduation party in the afternoon.

I'm sooooo happy that it is summer, no work for 2 1/2 months!!!!!!

Catalina

Yesterday was the Senior trip to Catalina and I got to go as a chaperon. It was so beautiful and so relaxing, much better than spending the day at work!!! The day was much longer than a normal work day but I was able to sit on the beach all day and visit with my friends that I hardly ever get to see anymore. The kids were still a little under the weather so juggling them around all day was interesting, but they had a great day too. They came to Mayfair for a couple of hours and were the hit of the PE department.
Tomorrow is a big day for us......the last day of work for me and V day for Don (vasectomy, that is). I'm a tiny bit sad, but we both know that we are done having kids. Poor guy worked all night last night, has to go to court today for a few hours, goes to work tonight, gets off at 6:30 am tomorrow and has his appointment at 11:30. He has to work Friday night so we are hoping for a speedy recovery!!

GREAT Night!!!

Today was Ruby's birthday party. You all know how my kids LOVE spending time at the Mitzner/Feolo house, probably second to Papa and Mimi's house. They were soooo excited to spend the day with Ruby and one of the most gigantic bounce houses that I have ever seen. They both had good mornings and took GREAT naps (at the same time) and were ready to go at 3:15 (we even made it on time!!!). Taylor's croup was getting the best of her and she literally could not stop coughing. She coughed sooo much that she puked all over me. My wonderful parents who were also going to the party took her home because of her coughing. SO, there I was at a party by myself with just Trevor (easy, right?) About 30 minutes later he was saying that his tummy hurt but I just brushed it off because he always gets sad when his sister isn't feeling good. I really thought it was some gas pains. He would be fine, running and jumping for long periods of time and then would come over to say he hurt. After about 2 hours Trevor decided that he too needed to throw up on his mommy. NICE, two kids in one night!!! We left the party and of course they have both been fine all night.
Mommy is exhausted and Daddy just started his work week and will not be off until Wednesday! Good times, good times!!!!

Birthdays, haircuts and school play

Ruby's birthday was on Wednesday so our family went over for a couple of hours to help her celebrate. Her actual party is today. Trevor still doesn't understand it when we celebrate birthdays twice, he says, "Mommy, Ruby's birthday already passed".

Trevor dressed up as a butterfly for his school play.

For some reason he would not stop putting his hands by his face. I will have to work on that for his Christmas show.

When they were walking out. Notice, of course, who the first one out is. Maybe they were trying to hide him in the corner!!!

TT playing on the playground before the show. She is seriously going to run that place next year. It will be so nice to have them at the same place!!!

TT's first haircut. She looks and is miserable. The poor thing has been sick for over a week. Yesterday we went to the doctor and she has croup. On top of that her second 2 year molar is coming in. Needless to say, the last few days have been rough!!!!

Her before picture. I didn't get an after, sorry. All we did was cut a little off the bottom, a few bangs, but mostly I wanted to get rid of all the stringy stuff on top. It turned out cute!!!

It has been awhile.......

We have been so busy the last week that I really haven't had 30 minutes in a day to sit down and write. Luckily today my students are watching a movie and our blogger sites are up and running. Here is a little of what we did....

Don's actual birthday was last Thursday so we had a few friends over for tacos and to watch the Laker game.

Trevor, TT and Ruby eating yummy (and blue) birthday cake.

Do you think it tasted good??? It matches her eyes and her diaper was also the same color the next day!!!

This is a picture of Trevor riding bikes at his school. Last Friday was the Fathers Day breakfast. Don was the last dad to leave 2 1/2 hours later and Trevor was very upset when he left. The teachers brought out one bat and one ball. Don said at one point her was pitching balls to 8 kids while all of the teachers were watching (I bet they were happy). That explains why Trevor was so sad when he left, he would literally hit balls all day if we let him.

Friday afternoon Don and I took the train to San Diego to watch the Padres play. Kelly stayed with the kids. The trip was great, the Pads won, our hotel was awesome and the train ride was the best!!! That is for sure the way to go!!!

Our train got in at 2:00 on Saturday and as soon as we got home we headed to Mission Viejo for Brady and Aubrey's birthday party. It was held at a place called Jumpin Jammin. The kids had an absolute blast but boy was I exhausted afterwards.

I didn't get any pictures but on Sunday night a group of my girlfriends got together to go see "Sex in the City". The movie was so good, everyone loved it. After the movie we all went to dinner and drinks at TGIFridays! Fun night!
Guess what we have going on this week...... retirement party tonight, Ruby's birthday tomorrow, Trevor's preschool end of year show on Thursday, Friday off (I'm sure something will come up), Ruby's party on Saturday and Fathers Day on Sunday. Seriously......does it ever end???

TT and her daddy playing with her dolls

Jeana and all her bunco wins. By the way, we have played for 2 months and she has won both times ($400 total)

Happy Birthday Brady!!!

I know it is lots of pics but we had a very very busy weekend! Next weekend is just as bad!

Birthdays and Bunco

I really do need to slow down on the weekend. I woke up yesterday morning completely exhausted from our busy busy weekend and I thought weekends were supposed to be for relaxing (yeah right!). Friday night we had our family over to BBQ for Don and his sister Nicole's birthday. We had lots of good food, great company and of course the kids stayed up way too late. Saturday morning we got up and went and met Jeana, Shannon and their kids at the park for a couple of hours. After the park and while the kids took a nap I cleaned and picked up the house from Friday nights mess to get ready for Bunco at my house for Saturday night. Bunco was a blast.....15 girls, food, drinks and no kids, really how could you go wrong? Jeana was the big winner, she won $300.00!!! The kids spent the night with my mom because Don was at work so I got to sleep in until 8:00, it was wonderful! We then met my parents for breakfast, went to Jeana's for a little while, took naps and then headed down to Mission Viejo to celebrate Brady's birthday. Angie and Brian had the pool and slip and slide out so of course the kids had a blast. We had another fun filled weekend and it just gets me more excited for summer, 11 more days of work!!!
I forgot to bring my connection to plug my camera in to download pictures. I got some really good pictures of the weekend so I will post them when I get home from work.
